Exploring the Edges
3rd to 5th OCT 2018
Co-creating The Human Networks Festival
The Human Networks Festival is being co-created by a number of networks spread around the globe. There are already over 20 networks, communities, and innovative organizations who are contributing to the Fest but sadly there is so much we can do with online meetings and Loomio posts.
For this reason, we hosted a Human Networks Convergence in Barcelona between October 3rd and 5th 2018, so we were able to all gather in a summit of networks to build trust, find synergies and co-design the Human Networks Festival.
In the face of growing complexity and shared challenges, humans are innovating about how we come together to explore the solutions. Join us in Barcelona at the Human Networks Festival to learn, contribute and connect.
“New power operates differently, like a current. It is made by many. It is open, participatory, and peer-driven. It uploads, and it distributes. Like water or electricity, it’s most forceful when it surges. The goal with new power is not to hoard it but to channel it.” Jeremy Heimans & Henry Timms, Understanding “New Power”
“When many citizens and organisations band together in pursuit of common objectives they generate new kinds of power, agency, and innovation.” Indy Johar, Ten Key Ingredients for Collective Impact

Systemic challenges we’re facing are so complex that no one person, organisation or territory can solve them alone. The organisations of the future are decentralised and networked, and their contributive business models are based around platforms and ecosystemic collaboration.
The rules of the game have changed. Are you ready?
Our Network Partners
No, Don Tapscott is not going to be a speaker at the Fest (or rather, we haven’t spoken to him yet), but we thought this TED talk of his sums up our purpose quite well.
Call for Proposals
The Human Networks Festival is an international event that gathers thought-leaders, entrepreneurs and movement builders to think critically about digital transformations and drive systemic change.
Every year we have over 100 speakers, hosting innovative and inclusive formats, including workshops, masterclasses, installations and experiences. We also have a small number of keynotes, but we much prefer participatory activities. For this reason we are not taking proposals for keynotes.
